The Chester County Library and Henrietta Hankin Branch 2025 Reading Challenge

Reading Challenge 2025

January 2, 2025 – December 31, 2025

Welcome to the first year of the Chester County Library and Henrietta Hankin Branch’s yearlong reading challenge! The 2025 Reading Challenge is open to all readers reading at a Young Adult or Adult level in any format. No registration is necessary.

This June, celebrate Pride Month by joining our adult reading challenge and discovering powerful stories and voices from LGBTQ+ authors.  Here is the June showcase from our book catalog to help you find notable books written by LGBTQ+ authors.

How to Participate

  1. Get your tracking log! Pick up a physical tracking log at the Reference Desk, print one out at home using the link in the Resources section of this page, or track your reading online on the Beanstack website and/or app. Look for the “2025 Chester County Library & Henrietta Hankin Branch Library Reading Challenge.” The physical tracking logs and Beanstack challenge will be available beginning on January 2nd.
  2. Start tracking your reading! There will be 12 prompts – one for each month of the year. There’s no requirement to complete each prompt during its corresponding month, but it is encouraged. If you’re competing on Beanstack, collect our customized badges for every milestone!
  3. Enter to win prizes! There will be a small prize for every person who completes the challenge as well as 3 larger raffle prizes. Return your completed tracking log or show your completed log on Beanstack to the Reference Desk by December 31st at 6 p.m. to claim your prize and enter your name into the raffle. If you are unable to physically come into the library to turn in your log or pick up your prize(s), please reach out to our Reference Desks. Prize winners will be drawn on Friday, January 2nd, 2026 and notified by email or phone call.
