Jacobs Technology Center
About
In 2008, the Chester County Library public computer center was renamed in honor of Mr. John W. Jacobs for his generous bequest to the Chester County Library Trust.
The Jacobs Technology Center (JTC) has 14 computers for use by the public for up to three hours. A valid Chester County Library System card is recommended but not required. The Center is open during all library hours, but closes 15 minutes prior to the library closing. The Center also includes a Digital Media Lab & Makerspace (DMLM). Typically, there is no wait for a computer; however, you may reserve one in advance.
We offer Laptop Lending to patrons with active CCLS library cards in good standing for use on the library premises.
The staff of the Jacobs Technology Center is skilled in the use of various software applications and offer free hands-on workshops for various skill levels to suit your needs. Visit our Event Calendar for our Computer Workshops. For in-depth assistance, please visit our Book a Librarian page to schedule One-on-One Computer Tutoring sessions or One-on-One Technology Help (through the Reference Department).
