The Summer Learning Program is an incentive program in which children read for pleasure and earn medals for their hard work. The program runs the whole summer, June through August.

The Summer Learning Program is open to children of all ages:

  • Families of babies and toddlers may join the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program and track the books read aloud to their child on their way to 1000 books!
  • Preschoolers may join as read-to-me participants and get credit for books read to them by caregivers and older siblings.
  • School age children (K to 5) mark their calendars for each day they read for at least 30 minutes.
  • Teens (6th – 12th grade) mark their BINGO cards for every activity they complete.

Visit the library beginning on May 23 to register.
