Story Times
Chester County Library Growing Readers – Developmentally-appropriate programs featuring stories and activities along with rhymes, fingerplays, and songs that foster your child’s early literacy development. Give your child a wonderful start toward becoming a great reader! Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please remember – this is a series; you will be registered for all sessions in the series. All story times support the Pennsylvania Early Literacy and Pre-Kindergarten Standards.
Story Time is In Person!
Play and Learn: Parent – Child Workshop
60 minute programs for toddlers from 18 to 35 months and their parents/caregivers. This program offers parents an opportunity to play with their children without distractions, explore educational toys and books, do an art activity, and participate in circle time. Resource Professionals, such as experts in child development, pediatric dental care, nutrition, and speech, answer parents’ questions and provide resources. 5-week sessions offered three times a year. Registration is required.
Raise-a-Reader: Story Times for Infants
Story programs (20 – 30 minutes) for infants from birth through 11 months and their parents/caregivers in 6-week sessions. Offered four times a year. Registration is required.
Acorns: Story Times for One-Year Olds
Story programs (30 minutes) for toddlers from 12 to 23 months and their parents/caregivers. 6-week sessions offered four times a year. Registration is required.
Sprouts: Story Times for Two-Year-Olds
Story programs (30 minutes) for toddlers from 24 to 35 months and their parents/caregivers. 6-week sessions offered four times a year. Registration is required.
Seedlings: Story Times for Three-Year-Olds
Story programs (30 minutes) for toddlers from 12 to 23 months and their parents/caregivers. 6-week sessions offered four times a year. Registration is required.
Saplings: Story Times for Four to Six-Year-Olds
Story programs (30 minutes) for preschoolers four to six years of age. 6-week sessions offered four times a year. Registration is required.
