Chester County Library & Henrietta Hankin Branch Supports Hunger Action Month Food Drive

Aug 31, 2026

In recognition of Hunger Action Month, Chester County Library in Exton and the Henrietta Hankin Branch Library in Chester Springs is proud to serve as a food collection sites for the Chester County Food Bank throughout the month of September.

Community members are invited to help fight food insecurity by donating non-perishable food items. A collection box will be available in the library lobbies for convenient drop-off. The food bank’s most-needed items include canned beans, canned chicken, canned fruit, canned tuna, and canned vegetables.

The Chester County Food Bank’s goal is to collect 17,000 pounds of food during Hunger Action Month, which will help provide approximately 20,000 meals for local residents facing food insecurity.

Please join us in supporting this important community effort. For more information about Hunger Action Month or the Chester County Food Bank, visit www.chestercountyfoodbank.org or call 610-873-6000 ext. 122
