Virtual: A Kids' Introduction to the Backyard Bird Count

Join us to learn about the Backyard Bird Count — a free, fun, and easy event that engages bird watchers of all ages in counting birds. Sponsored by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the National Audubon Society, this event, which takes place February 12-15, 2021, could inspire a lifetime hobby. Children, age 3 to 8, and their parents are invited to enjoy stories and more! This program is part of the Longwood Gardens 8th Annual Community Read Program designed to encourage reading and start a conversation. In 2021 discover how one finds a passion for nature and explore what can become of that spark. Participants will be eligible for a free drawing for a one day family pass for 4 to Longwood Gardens.

Registration is required. Registration will close 2 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the event. A Zoom link will be emailed to registrants 2 hours before the program begins.
