Join the Chester County Library, the National Audubon Society and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology for the Great Backyard Bird Count 2021. Each February, for four days, the world comes together for the love of birds. This year’s count will be February 12th through 15th. Over these four days everyone is invited to spend time in their favorite places watching and counting as many birds as they can find and reporting them. During this introduction to the program will we navigate the https://www.birdcount.org website and discuss various bird identification apps that may be helpful during the count in February.

Registration is required. Registration will close two hours prior to the scheduled start time of the event. A Zoom link will be emailed to registrants two hours before the program starts. Make sure to check the email address you registered with to receive the link. You do not need a Zoom account to attend the virtual program.

This program is part of the Longwood Gardens 8th Annual Community Read Program designed to encourage reading and start a conversation. In 2021 discover how one finds a passion for nature and explore what can become of that spark. Participants will be eligible for a free drawing for a one day family pass for 4 to Longwood Gardens.
