Curbside Pickup

The Chester County Library and the Henrietta Hankin Branch are now offering Curbside Pick-Up. We are excited to be able to serve the community again by offering a way to deliver your pre-ordered materials that is safe for you and our employees!

Please note that if you have items to pick-up at the Chester County Library or Henrietta Hankin Branch, walk-ins are welcome for indoor holds pick-up with no appointment necessary.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday: 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 12: 00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Henrietta Hankin Branch
Monday - Thursday: 10:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Friday: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Sunday: 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Other libraries in the Chester County Library System will have different hours for curbside pick-up. Please visit our System website for a map and list of System libraries if you are picking up at a different library.

Curbside Pick-Up Procedures
Follow these 4 easy steps to schedule your curbside pick-up:

Know Your Library Card and PIN Numbers
You will need your library card number and PIN to reserve a time to pick up items.

Confirmation of Order Fulfillment
You will receive an email or text message, or paper notice via USPS mail, when your items are available for pick-up. You can only make a reservation if you have items that are currently ready for pick-up.

Reserve Your Pick Up Time
In your email, there will be a link you can click on to go to the curbside reservation platform where you will be able to choose a date and time to pick up your order. You can also make a reservation and manage your reservations online using this link.

How to Pick Up Your Items
Your materials will be checked-out to you, and placed in a paper bag, prior to pick-up. Your checkout receipt will be attached to your bag.

When you arrive at the library, please remain in your car and call us at the number listed below to let us know you are outside.

For pick-up at Chester County Library, call: 610-344-4642

Once our library staff have placed your items on the table outside the front door you may approach and retrieve your items.

If there is another patron at the table, please wait until they have returned to their car before you approach the building.

Please note: if you miss your pick-up reservation, your checked-out items will be held for 24 hours. You can pick-up your items without an appointment within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment, or contact the library to re-schedule for a specific time. If you do not pick-up your items or contact us to reschedule within 24 hours, your reserved items will be checked-in and you will need to re-reserve the items at the end of the queue.
