Hello! I began working at Henrietta Hankin Branch Library as a Reference Librarian in July 2017 and have enjoyed every minute. My colleagues are all so kind, knowledgeable and creative. It is no wonder that there is such a good feeling that pervades the library environment here, creating a pleasant experience for the community of its users.
Before this, I worked on Long Island, New York, as a full-time school librarian and part-time public librarian. I grew up on Long Island and still have family there that I visit frequently. You can take the girl out of the ocean, but you can’t take the ocean out the girl… I am a true ocean lover. Now, I am enjoying getting to know all the wonders of nature in this beautiful area of Pennsylvania.
I have wished to be working full-time in a public library for years now. The last time I did, I worked as a Cataloger for the New York Public Library. My experience since then has expanded my horizons to working directly with the public, which I find fascinating. I truly learn something new every day! I can’t think of a better occupation than helping people access the information and services they need to learn, grow and enjoy their lives more fully. I look forward to the days ahead working within the Chester County Library System.
