New Branch Manager

Congratulations Beverly!
Congratulations to Beverly Lawler, who took over as Branch Manager of the Henrietta Hankin Branch Library on December 15. Beverly should be a familiar face to most of you, as she has been a Reference Librarian at the Branch since 2009.
Before her library journey began, Beverly was a computer programmer. After raising a family, Beverly began volunteering at the Chester County Library in various departments. Her love for libraries blossomed, and she pursued a library degree from Clarion University in 2007. She was hired as a Library Assistant in Technical Services in 2007, and worked there until 2009, when she was promoted to Reference Librarian at the Henrietta Hankin Branch Library. Since then, Beverly has demonstrated her leadership ability and willingness to take on challenging projects.
Like every good librarian, Beverly likes to read. She is also active in the Chester County Chapter of DAR and chairs the Good Citizen Committee. As a member of a Civil War Auxiliary, she occasionally participates in parades and the group does community service work and collects gift bags for lady veteran’s at the holidays. She plays the piano and enjoys cross-stitching and quilting in her spare time.
You can reach Beverly at 610-321-1707, or e-mail her at blawler@ccls.org.
