Get Your Taxes Done @ Your Library!
Tax season is here!
The Chester County & Henrietta Hankin Branch Libraries will provide a selection of forms and publications, and tax assistance for you to get a head start on filing your taxes! Each library will offer basic federal and state forms, limited quantities of IRS 1040 and PA 40 instruction booklets, a selection of PA schedules, an IRS binder with reproducible forms, and tax assistance from AARP Foundation Tax Aide Program.
Federal forms and publications can be ordered directly from the Internal Revenue Service by visiting the IRS website or calling 1-800-829-3676. Please allow up to two weeks for orders to arrive.
Tax help is being offered by AARP Foundation Tax Aide Program on Mondays at the Chester County Library during the months of February, March, and early April. Trained and certified tax volunteers can help you prepare and electronically file your federal and state taxes at no charge. Individuals with complex tax situations may need to see a tax professional. Registration is required. Please visit visit our event calendar to register, or call 610-280-2620.
The Henrietta Hankin Branch Library will offer appointments on Fridays and saturdays beginning at 10:00 a.m. starting on February 5th, 2016. E-mail email@example.com or call the library at 610-321-1710 with a preferred day and whether you would like a morning or afternoon appointment.
