County Library System Launches New Mobile App

The Chester County Library System, with the generous financial support of the Chester County Library Trust, has launched a new mobile app for its libraries that that will provide quick and easy access to your library account and many of our services!
The app is free and can be downloaded to mobile devices. The app is available to download in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
This initiative supports both the Chester County Commissioner’s Managing for Results strategic plan and the Library System’s new strategic plan: Strength in Numbers: Planning for our Future 2014-2017 by providing easy and convenient access to the information and services provided by the Library System.
The app has a number of functionalities including: full account and catalog access to place holds and renew materials, an ISBN barcode search, “Ask a Librarian” feature, access to databases and resources such as the Power Library, Mango Languages and Refer Web; for Health and Human Service information in Chester County. The mobile app also has sections devoted to new releases and top recommendations, and individual libraries social media pages, blogs, and calendars of events.
Mobile users can access OverDrive directly to download eBooks and eAudiobooks and read eMagazines through the library’s digital magazine distribution service, Flipster.
“It’s important for the library to be easily accessible whenever and wherever people need access to our rich resources,” says Joseph Sherwood, Executive Director of the Chester County Library System. “Our mobile app puts library information just one click away with much faster access than going through a browser. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this new way to use the library by downloading our app today.”
