Celebrating Library Volunteers

Annual Volunteer Luncheon

Chester County Library and Henrietta Hankin Branch Library volunteers were treated to a wonderful lunch on Wednesday, April 20 at the Bonefish Grill in Exton.  This was Chester County Library's annual awards luncheon sponsored by the Friends of Chester County Library.  Eighty-eight volunteers and staff attended and thirteen volunteers were presented with awards for achieving milestones in their service to the libraries.  In the group, were six volunteers who have served 500+ hours of service and seven volunteers who have served 1,000+ hours of service. Volunteers were also presented certificates of service from the office of Senator Andrew Dinniman, a staunch library supporter.

The libraries have 130+ volunteers and are in the midst of placing thirty-five young adults from local high schools.  We are fortunate to have such a strong service-oriented community.
