Welcome to the Youth Services Department of the Chester County Library!

The Youth Services Department provides materials and programs for the education, enrichment, and entertainment of children, teens and parents.  Our helpful and professional staff are always available to answer your questions, in person or by phone, including: reference questions, research assistance, readers’ advisory assistance, and library instruction.

Read -- Through the Chester County Library, children, teens, parents, and teachers have access to the combined collections of the eighteen libraries in the Chester County Library System – more than 1,000,000 books, audiobooks, downloadable books, magazines, DVDs and CDs.

Connect -- Our website offers a wealth of information and resources, which allows you the convenience of conducting research, maintaining library records, placing holds and registering for programs from home.  The CCLS library staff selects authoritative databases and websites on a wide variety of subjects for users to access in the library or from home.

Discover -- The Youth Services Department offers an array of programs for preschoolers, children, and teens, including story times, Summer Reading Club, and Teen Library Crew.  All of our programs support the Pennsylvania Early Learning and Core Standards, as well as the PA Forward Five Literacies.
