MedlinePlus is the National Institute of Health’s website for patients and their families and friends. It is a product of the National Library of Medicine - the world’s largest medical library. Learn more about symptoms, causes, and preventative measures for more than 950 illnesses, health conditions, and wellness issues. Information is presented in language that is easy for most people to understand. Information is current and access is free.

The New York Times: Get a 24-hour pass to the read the New York Times website on the go! Just create a free account and access from home or on mobile devices with your library card number and PIN. To access within a library, create an account (or use your existing free account) on nytimes.com and log in with your email address and password.

What is Included in the Databases?
The Chester County Library System (CCLS) provides access to over 30 Electronic Resources covering everything from Car Repair to Genealogy, from a Business Directory to a Language Learning Resource. They also range from searchable indexes with full-text of journal articles or newspaper articles to learning tools, from animated children’s books to complete reference books.

The Pennsylvania Department of Education through the Office of Commonwealth Libraries provides a suite of electronic resources to public libraries and school libraries called the POWER Library. The Chester County Library System, through state funding, provides the remaining resources. Most of the databases are available remotely with the use of a Chester County Library System library card.
